A sticker on every machine. Tap it with your phone and you get the
make, model, year, photos and service history of that exact unit — no app, no
account needed for the basics.
How it works
1 · TagA waterproof NTAG213 sticker goes on each
machine, encoded with a URL like gympricing.co.uk/t/PG-HOL-0142.
2 · TapAny phone from the last decade reads it
without an app. The tag opens this site straight to that machine.
3 · VerifyGym staff confirm make, model and year
once. Members can flag anything wrong, and every change is reviewed.
4 · MaintainService dates and faults are logged
against the unit, so "is the leg press fixed yet" has an answer.

Why gyms want it
Members stop asking staff what a machine is or how it works.
An honest kit list is a selling point — "we run Eleiko platforms, 2024 stock"
is worth more than "great equipment".
Fault reporting lands on the right unit, with its own history.
Service and replacement planning stops living in a spreadsheet.
Current status
0 machines tagged and verified so far. The registry
starts empty on purpose — nothing here is generated, and a tag only goes live once
a human has confirmed the make and model against the machine in front of them.
